The primary thought however was that the name “Spruce Valley” seemed too generic to me and didn’t really carry weight like other notable cities. Once I finished the Island, it was on to building the city itself! This part was hard as I had substantially more space and freedom than I had previously, but it worked out. There was a long way to go before it looked presentable! The very first version of Amberlight, then known as Spruce Valley still, looked rough. (Spruce Valley right before it was moved to its own map, July 23, 2018) Most of the buildings in that picture are still around.Įventually as the city grew, I ended up taking it seriously and decided to move it over to its own map, separate from any other city.
